We recognise that alcohol and other drug addictions are different for everyone.
At Emerge Aotearoa, our qualified clinicians and peer support specialists work together to deliver programmes that cater to each person's specific needs and recovery goals, in the safety of their own community. We work with people to understand the causes of their addiction and support them to make positive changes in their lives.
We also offer a specialist Dual Diagnosis service for clients who are affected by mental illness as well as alcohol or other drug issues.
EaseUp
EaseUp is a mobile community-based service that supports young people who are experiencing challenges with their mental wellbeing and/or alcohol and other drug use. The service is offered in the form of short term, brief interventions and is available for youth aged between 12-24 living in Auckland, Waitematā and Waikato.
At EaseUp, Peer Support Workers and Clinicians work in partnership with young people. The service provides holistic support to fit the needs of each young person, which is delivered where they feel most comfortable such as in their home or a local park.
Young people with mild to moderate mental health and substance challenges can create goals that the service will help them achieve.
Feedback from youth who EaseUp has worked alongside has been overwhelmingly positive.
