Pacific Dreams

Six Māori and Pasifika students at Manurewa High School have turned ordinary night light lamps into a wooden Pasifika themed night light. The lights and accompanying bedtime stories provide a cultural connection for young people.

Jacinda Ardern’s shoutout to Pacific Dreams on her personal instagram page substantially increased followers on their instagram account.

Spicify

 Five students from Manurewa High School from Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India have created a spicy sauce based on a traditional recipe that includes a dragon eye chilli.

Their sauce is made from Asian ingredients and they also use their own home grown chillies. Their Dragon Eye sauce is organic, sustainable and they use a traditional recipe which has been passed down from one of their Cambodian mothers.
