Generally, transitional housing is provided for up to 12 weeks. During this time, a housing navigator will work with whānau to look at what obstacles they may be facing and how they can access a home.
Emerge Aotearoa Housing provides transitional housing in a number of locations from Whangarei to Invercargill.
All applications for emergency housing are processed by Work and Income. To discuss if you are eligible for social or transitional housing, contact your Work and Income case worker.
