Mena Antonio

Mena is an experienced governance practitioner, facilitator and businesswoman who mentors women and youth to fulfil their potential as effective decision makers. She brings authentic voice, sharp focus on mission alignment and humour to board and meeting tables.

Mena qualified in law and went on to postgraduate study in communication management and arts, culture & heritage. She is an alumni of the prestigious Global Women Breakthrough Leaders programme, having won the Pacific women’s scholarship from the Tindall Foundation.

She is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors of NZ and currently sits on: Trust House Limited, Caritas Aotearoa NZ CANZ, Health Quality & Safety Commission, and Emerge Aotearoa Ltd. She chairs the Finance & Risk committee for CANZ, grants committee for Masterton Community Trust and is deputy chair of Trust House Foundation.

Born in Wellington and raised in Porirua with her seven siblings with a solid church foundation has shaped Mena’s values for social justice, service, and community.

Mena and husband Richard live on a lifestyle property in Wairarapa where they have raised their two daughters – both now at university.
