Dr Lana Perese

Dr Lana Perese is a New Zealand born Samoan - her parents hailing from the villages of Magiagi and Fasito'o Uta. She has strong analytical and research skills obtained from more than 20 years in academic and government research. Her strengths include translating research and evidence into policy implications. Lana is currently a Director and the Auckland Manager at Malatest International, where she leads a range of Pacific, Auckland and national based evaluation and research projects. Previous positions include Research Manager at the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs (now Ministry for Pacific Peoples), Pacific Health Research Manager at The University of Auckland (Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences), Research Fellow at The University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology. Lana is a board member for Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB), a Director for Vaka Tautua, and a Trustee for Malologa Trust.
