Personal Connections & Skills for Life is a peer service delivered by facilitators who have their own lived experience of mental distress and/or challenges with substances and have made sense of their journey through these challenges.
This service can be accessed by anyone living within the Capital Coast area, which includes Wellington, Porirua and the Kāpiti Coast and who self-identify as experiencing, or having experienced, mental distress.
We offer two 12-week peer education programmes, namely Concrete Jungle and PeerZone. The workshops support participants to explore strengths, skills and areas for development across several holistic wellbeing topics. One-to-one peer support is available if required.
